“One of the hottest, young, up and coming
musicians in our area”
“To make people feel less alone in the world”: That is 18-year-old Emily O’Neal’s goal with her music. She grew up in Florida, where she began piano lessons at age 6, however, she was always more interested in singing. She began voice lessons and performing in her local community at age 14 and hasn't stopped since. As an introvert, O’Neal often had trouble performing in front of people and expressing her emotions, but she found her outlet through songwriting. Her safe place is at her piano writing catchy hooks and sincere lyrics that relate to others through honest experiences.
O'Neal released her first single, "REVOLVE AROUND YOU," in April 2020 and was met with rave reviews from Lefuturewave, Erenblogs, Grass Roots Music, Fave Sounds, Saturdays at Seven, Your Music Muse, Bradford County Telegraph, and many more! The song was also featured on over 80 Spotify playlists and the music video has gathered over 25,000 views and counting.
Her newest single, "Catch Feelings," has already surpassed her previous track in Spotify streams and has been praised by Lefuturewave, Fave Sounds, The Lowdown, On The Come Up TV, and more! The song was inspired by the 80's and was produced and co-written by Dexter Redding, son of Otis Redding.
Now living in Tennessee, O'Neal studies Music Business at Middle Tennessee State University and continues to create and release new music.
